The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has indicated it could bring the first disciplinary proceedings against advisers before the end of the year. In mid-September, head of primary regulatory operations, Sue Brown, told financialalert to expect the first cases in a few months - and that they'll likely involve Code Standard 8 regarding suitability of advice.
