As observed in a previous Research Review, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing has experienced rapid growth in recent years as the concept has leapt into the mainstream. In 2017, ESG investments grew 25% from 2015 to US$23 trillion, accounting for about one-quarter of all professionally managed investments globally.
