A short story about black swans at dawn

So many of you have written to me over the past 3 days that I cannot possibly reply to all of you. Hopefully this report will answer most of your questions. However, I first need to tell you a short story.

It was Friday 14th February and I was in Perth to speak at a breakfast event and then later at a conference. I woke up early and went for a walk at dawn in a park near my hotel. I stopped at a small lake and a beautiful Black Swan glided effortlessly towards me. It was soon joined by a second Black Swan. I remember thinking, “It’s a Black Swan event!”
