It is presented by Portfolio Construction Forum, in collaboration with faculty of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Business School. It succeeds the UTS Paul Woolley Centre that was led by UTS Professor Ron Bird since its foundation in 2007 - and Professor Bird continues as a Director of the IMR Program. The IMR Program is a series of initiatives that give rare opportunity for the full spectrum of investment management analysts – academics, professional investors, consultants, practitioners and advocates – to come together to debate and advance key investment management research issues.
Specifically, the IMR Program focuses on three topics
that are relevant to the Investing knowledge domain... ... across three core activities: 1. Research: Commissioned research that furthers the efficiency and effectiveness of investment management; 2. Debate: IMR Workshop (April) and IMR Conference (October) – investment research presentations and papers from a faculty of academic and practitioner experts; 3. Educate: Investment Management Analyst Course – core to the global Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) certification program, and fundamental to quality investment management analyst knowledge, skills and expertise.
